Week after week, our pastors pour out—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. They celebrate with us, grieve with us, intercede for us, and lead us. They answer late-night calls, prepare messages, and stand in faith—even when they themselves may feel weary.
But here’s the reality – pouring out without being poured into leads to emptiness and burn out.
What if they chose to step away from ministry? What if the weight became too heavy, the encouragement too scarce, the support too distant?
Not because they weren’t called. Not because they didn’t love God. But because they were exhausted… and no one noticed in time.
God can use you—yes, you—to refill what’s been poured out.
A word of encouragement, a prayer, a simple act of care can remind a pastor they are not alone. Simply telling your pastor how God used their sermon to speak to you, renews them! Our words of encouragement do matter.
Throughout Scripture, God uses people to strengthen His servants—to lift their arms when they grow tired, to speak life when they feel drained.
And today, He’s still doing that—through us.
You can be the one God uses to refill their cup by being a Pastor Care Rep. It’s choosing to stand in the gap, to lift up the hands of those who lead, to make sure they have what they need to keep going. When we care for our pastors, we strengthen the entire church. It’s a beautiful cycle of pulpit to pew and pew to pulpit. Our pastors pour into us, we pour into them, and together, we continue pouring into our community and advancing the gospel.
