Cindy Annan

Event Coordinator

Cindy has been involved with Energize Ministries since its inception as her husband, Dave, was one of the co-founders.  Growing up as a PK and then spending 40 years as a pastor’s wife, Cindy knows well the blessings and hurts of ministry.   The concept of Energize Ministries came about as a direct result of one of those ministry hurts and now it is amazing to see the beauty that God has brought through those ashes.  Cindy has her degree in Elementary Education and has spent many years teaching in traditional private schools as well as homeschooling her 7 children.  Her passion for teaching  has continued these past 18 years in the role of preschool director.  Her children and grandchildren continue to keep her busy and bring her much joy.  She is grateful to be a part of this ministry that reaches out to support and encourage pastors and to continue the legacy her husband started.

Van & Ressie Nelson

International Pastor Support

Both Van and Ressie Nelson were reared in Christian homes. Van grew up in a pastor’s home and was led to Christ by his dad. Growing up Ressie was encouraged to be involved in her church. They met in college and have served in missions together for over 20 years. Van has previously served as a senior pastor, has been trained in Intentional Interim Ministry, and has served three churches as an interim pastor. Van and Ressie serve with Energize Ministries as international pastor care partners. Their love for those in ministry grew out of their own experience, seeing the need first-hand. Today, they focus on caring for pastors and their wives and Christian leaders in Norway, Sweden, and the Caribbean but travel the world to minister to those who are often forgotten, pastors. The result is seeing pastors and Christian leaders with a renewed vision to “press towards the mark” (Philippians 3:14). The Nelsons make their home in Winston-Salem, NC. When they are not traveling they minister here in the USA. They have four grown children who with their families are all walking with the Lord.

Melissa Young

Office Manager & Reservation Coordinator

Melissa has newly joined the Energize Ministries team as our office manager and reservation coordinator.  She grew up in a pastor’s home and saw first hand the challenges that pastors and their families face day in and day out.  She is married to her husband, Josh, and has two children, Tyler and Kylie.  Her love of children often has a little one in her arms in her role as a preschool teacher and  in her role as an aunt.  She enjoys spending time with her family along with their myriad of animals on their ten-country acres.
